National Puppy Day was established in 2007 by animal advocate Colleen Paige. It strives to encourage prospective pet parents to visit their local Columbus area shelter when looking to adopt a new furry family member, in order to give them the happy and safe life every animal deserves. Each time a puppy is rescued from a shelter or taken out of a neglectful or abusive situation, these dedicated volunteers and professionals have a reason to celebrate.
