Sweetest Day, observed each year on the third Saturday in October, was created during the Great Depression when a candy store employee, Herbert Birch Kingston, decided to spread happiness and good cheer to those less fortunate than him. Orphans, shut-ins and others who tend to be forgotten were gifted with candy and treats to make their day a little sweeter. Griffin’s Floral Design is eager to help you keep tradition alive with our wide variety of gift baskets and floral arrangements you can choose to send to the sweetest ones in your life.
Send a basketful of joy to your sweetheart this year with our Bountiful Garden. A multitude of lilies, roses, carnations, alstroemeria, fall mums, and hypericum berries all in rich pinks, reds and oranges spill out of a wicker fall basket for a gorgeous display of color and happiness.
Make this Sweetest Day one to remember with flowers, gifts and candy for your loved ones, sweethearts, or those you may know who are often forgotten. Bring gifts to local hospitals or shelters and shower some joy on the people there. The professionals at Griffin’s Floral Design are eager to help you choose the perfect gift for you to share on Sweetest Day.
