Floral Styles for Veterans Day

Veterans Day, celebrated every November 11, has been around since 1919 when it was conceived as “Armistice Day” in honor of the end of WWI the year before. Eventually, it became the Veterans Day we know now, and yet not any less a momentous occasion. On this day (or very near close to it), our Columbus community gathers together to honor those who served in the U.S. military through parades, observances, and parties. We fete our heroes in our homes or reach out to them if they are at a distance. We here at Griffin’s Floral Design┬ámake the same efforts, joining you in celebration of our vets.

But we also believe that the gesture of sending flowers in tribute is another way of honoring our heroes, and we’ve got a variety of floral styles for Veterans Day to choose from.

Our Blue Moon Cube arrangement hits the right note when it comes to Veterans Day floral gifts. The blue hydrangea and white roses pull in the American flag colors without verging into the 4th of July territory. The bamboo and tropical foliage add a hearty element and balance the softness of the flowers. This is a piece that could appeal to either a man or a woman, and with a modest footprint, it can be enjoyed from the nightstand or from the dining room table.

Sending something bright and compact such as our Sunny Delight design conveys your appreciation without being overwhelming. A cheerful and modern array of flowers keeps the focus on the worthy recipient and the gratitude that’s being extended.

Floral styles for Veterans Day don’t have to come in just red, white, and blue; they can represent the hero on the receiving end and make a subtle nod to his or her patriotism. We at Griffin’s Floral Design join you in honoring our veterans this November 11.
