3 Tips for Ordering Spring Floral Arrangements

Flowers complement spring holidays and special occasions perfectly. Flowers make a perfect gift for someone special. They can also adorn the dining room table as the centerpiece for your holiday celebration. Around any holiday or widely celebrated occasion, flowers are in high demand. Whether you are planning an Easter or Mother’s Day brunch or simply ordering an arrangement as a holiday gift, heed this advice to make sure your spring flower arrangements come through without a hitch.

1. Order Early – When it comes to holiday floral arrangements, this is the most important piece of advice. Order your arrangements at least a week early. Quality and availability of flowers are usually first come first serve. If you put your order in first, you will get the first pick of flowers. This means your arrangement will likely have the most visually-pleasing flowers and all of the types of flowers you want. During spring holidays, certain varieties and colors of flowers prove most popular. If you wait too long to place your order, the florist might have already run out of stock. Ordering early will also ensure you receive your desired delivery time. Florists deliver on a schedule. By ordering early, you can have your flowers delivered where you want, when you want.

2. Write the Card First – If sending a floral arrangement as a gift, plan the greeting for the card before you call. This way, you will not be put on the spot to come up with a sentiment over the phone or feel rushed while you think of the perfect way to say what you want to say. It is a good idea to write your message down before calling. This way, you can rest assured your flowers will be delivered with the right sentiment.

3. Research – This step sounds like hard work, but it is actually easy and fun. Have an idea of what sort of arrangement you would like. Find a picture on your florist’s website or have specific types of flowers, colors, and a size in mind before you call. This will save you the stress of ordering an arrangement you do not want. If you really do not know what sort of arrangement you would like, it is perfectly fine to explain the occasion or purpose for the arrangement and leave the rest to us at Griffins Floral Designs.
