Columbus weddingsFebruary gives us the opportunity to celebrate all things love. Of course, Valentine’s Day is the reigning holiday for romance, and that in itself inspires plenty of devotion. But you may be surprised to hear that February is also National Wedding Month. After all, this wintry month is not one of the most popular for Columbus weddings (June, August, and September claim the three top spots on that list.)  So why would this month be given such an elegant designation? The answer is quite simple. columbus weddingsDid You Know? Valentine’s Day is a popular day for engagements, with over 6 million annually; and it is also a highly coveted date for wedding ceremonies.Still, that is not the justification for National Wedding Month.

The National Association of Bridal Consultants bestowed the honor on February due to the fact that more people get engaged over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays than any other time of the year. Once the dust has settled, they begin wedding planning in earnest in February; resulting in a spike of activity for wedding vendors across the board. This is the month that inquiries and bookings at popular venues, entertainment companies, caterers and professional floral designers begin to roll in, hence it’s title!
