Of all the fictional holidays, Galentine’s Day (February 13th) has to be our favorite here at Griffin’s Floral Designs. It’s not just that it’s a day devoted to celebrating the friendship between women, or the fact that it comes right before Valentine’s Day, giving us two whole days dedicated to spreading the love. It’s that Galentine’s Day is still in the process of being created, so every tradition that gets added each year gives it a little more identity and character. So gather your besties and start coming up with yours.

Whether you’re going for a bottomless mimosas breakfast or making it a girl’s night out, we think that flowers should definitely be a part of your day. Originally proposed in a 2010 episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation, where the main character Leslie Knope proclaimed it “only the best day of the year,” Galentine’s definitely involved gift-giving. But rather than the silly gifts, Leslie offered her besties, we think you should opt for something more along the lines of A Tangerine Lady.  

This little beauty would make the perfect gift for your best friend. Give her a real thrill and have it delivered to her at work: just imagine the jealousy on her co-workers’ faces, as she starts receiving flowers a full day ahead of everyone else. Or, if you decide to host Galentine’s Day at your place, take a few of these and make a grouping in the center of the table. Let all your ladies know that they should take one home as your gift.
