The holidays are a great time to get crafty, trying out new DIY projects or bringing back the ones you do every year. From making popcorn and cranberry garland to creating your own ornaments, there are so many ways to decorate the spaces in your home that deserve a little seasonal attention. Griffin’s Floral Design knows that flowers and greens are a huge part of most holiday decor schemes, so today we’re offering up one gorgeous floral accent piece as well as a few DIY tips that will help you make the most of your handiwork.
Sweet little Holiday Potpourri is just the thing to place on a side table, buffet, coffee table or even to nestle into the mantel alongside the Christmas village. Red roses, evergreen, magnolia leaves and more create a woodsy seasonal design full of texture. In its planters pot, we think it looks great alongside simple clear glass votive candles. Tuck sprigs of pine or eucalyptus around the base inside the votive container below the candle to carry the green theme forward.
If you love the look of greens, get some clear bulb ornaments, pop off the top and slip some in there too for a cute bauble. Use even more greens to spruce up your dinner table napkins (simply tuck them into the napkin ring) or to adorn gifts as part of the wrapping. Knot some twine around your packages and secure pine or magnolia leaves that way. Be creative with your holiday florals and greens this season.
